Mixing, Mingling & AI Musings – A Night with AxEC at Carbide Ventures

Title: AxEC Members Connect Over Insights, Innovation & AI at Carbide Ventures Mixer

It was an evening of meaningful conversations and renewed connections as AxEC members gathered for an informal mixer at Carbide Ventures in Palo Alto. Hosted in the heart of Silicon Valley, the event brought together entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals from our growing network for an evening of networking, thought exchange, and shared passion.

The gathering offered members the chance to catch up in person, connect one-on-one, and engage in conversations that spanned across industries and disciplines. From professional journeys to personal passions, the mixer served as a reminder of the power of community and collaboration in the entrepreneurial space.

A highlight of the evening was a brief talk by the Managing Partner of Carbide Ventures, Pankaj Jain, who gave us a glimpse into Carbide’s investment philosophy and the kind of companies they back—followed by questions from some of the members.

The discussion naturally turned toward the topic that’s top of mind for many: AI adoption and its impact on the future of work. Members shared thoughtful perspectives on how artificial intelligence is transforming job roles, with a common thread emerging—domain knowledge and adaptability will be the differentiators in the AI era.

All of this, of course, unfolded over delicious food and drinks, creating the perfect backdrop for relaxed yet enriching conversations.

At AxEC, we believe that our strength lies in our community—and events like these help us stay inspired, informed, and interconnected. Thank you to all who joined us, and a special thanks to Carbide Ventures for graciously hosting.

Here’s to more such gatherings and deeper collaborations ahead!
